You enter your name, and the service composes it from real satellite images of Earth. Each letter is an existing landscape: rivers, mountains, fields, deserts, captured from orbit.

How it works: You enter your name — the service searches for letters directly in the Landsat image archive. The Landsat program has been imaging Earth since 1972 — there is plenty of data. Each time, the letters may come from different parts of the planet. The result can be saved and sent to friends or used to confess your love to a girl.


A special pleasure is examining which part of the world each letter came from. Sometimes you come across absolutely cosmic views — literally.
