Well, since we're talking about sleep, I'll tell you about a magical thing that helped me sleep better. Just like the sleep mask I wrote about earlier.

I'm talking about a weighted blanket. It's also sometimes called a "gravity blanket." You might think a regular blanket is anti-gravity, but I won't be pedantic, let's get to the point :)

In fact, it's a regular blanket with some filler inside. Usually, glass beads. And because of this, the blanket weighs several times more than a regular one. Mine, for example, weighs 9 kg.

The first impression is strange, as if you were placed under a large rug. But you quickly get used to it, moreover, the blanket actually feels pleasantly heavy. Essentially, it stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system through pressure.

And this is not just subjective feeling; there is already a solid evidence base in favor of such blankets. Here, for example, is a meta-analysis from 2024: 70% of participants slept better — sleep onset time decreased and the proportion of deep sleep increased.

In short, if you have trouble falling asleep or sleeping in general, it's worth a try. Especially since prices for such blankets have dropped significantly recently. For instance, I found mine on Ozon for around 3500 ₽.

So the price of comfort is quite reasonable.
