When AI decides who to hire, and no descriptions or credentials help.
I held a webinar, and many questions were related to the fact that a candidate cannot even get to the first interview stage, they just get a rejection:
"Thank you, you're great, but we'll call you back when pigs fly".
How does it work?
Companies have implemented AI, but didn't account for the nuances.
In the idea of AI for HR, it was about optimizing routine tasks, but AI is a machine that, if fed historical data, will build a picture of the ideal candidate.
But what if the candidate is excellent, but the resume lags behind the market standard?
It didn't match the required markers, unfortunately.
This leads to a number of problems.
1️⃣ - shortage of people willing to work.
2️⃣ - if you don't lie, you won't pass the filter.
3️⃣ - decreased motivation of applicants.
4️⃣ - discrimination based on ageism, education, experience.
How to bypass AI?
Be clever, and emphasize your strengths while hiding reasons you might not pass the filter.
- hide problematic criteria from your resume, your goal is to get to the dialogue stage;
- analyze other resumes, what do they have that you don't?
- put your best foot forward by detailing practical experience in your cover letter;
- twist the requirements to match your abilities (I don't know SQL, HOWEVER I can solve the problem using Python);
- create a pet project that serves as a reference, explain how this project can help the company.
And most importantly, never despair and be assertive, fortune favors the bold.
I have hired people whose resumes didn't meet any requirements, with no experience, but they got through thanks to their communication skills.
By the way, I showed the article to a lead analyst, she wanted to crucify me for such advice. 😂

What problems have you encountered when applying for a job?
🔥 - I tried such methods, it worked.
🤓 - I think it's cheating and wrong.
🥲 - I get 1 interview out of 100 applications.
