For the last 1.5 months, we at Opora have been preparing the groundwork for paid traffic. For example, we finally launched a new website (check it out: clubopora.ru)

As one of the main traffic channels, we decided to choose Yandex Direct. And then a natural question arose: set it up ourselves or hire a contractor? I talked to fellow entrepreneurs and... opinions were divided.

Some say that Direct is a separate beast, and you need a specialist, preferably with experience in your niche. I agreed with them, and we almost started working with a contractor. But then we discussed this with my partner Denis, and he said the following:
When the budget for a test flight is 150k, and the subsequent monthly marketing budget will be even smaller, there is no point in paying a contractor - the economics most likely won't work out and we'll blow the budget. It's much better to start with the hottest queries and set them up ourselves, and then bring in contractors when the budget increases.
So we decided on that. In the end, in a couple of hours I figured out how to set everything up with Claude, plus one of Opora's residents Sasha (founder of a Yandex Direct agency) shared his experience. Now Direct is set up and running, we'll see the results 😼

What do you think - who should set up ads when the marketing budget is very small?

❤️ - founder
🦄 - agency
🔥 - in-house marketer
