"Dune: Prophecy"
A series spin-off of the film universe of Denis Villeneuve, focusing on the Bene Gesserit Order. We see a world where the conflict between the Harkonnens and Atreides is just beginning, and both houses are not yet influential in the eyes of the emperor, who is preoccupied with other matters. Political intrigues, palace coups, mystical signs, unexplained murders, and mysterious methods of the Bene Gesserit community — the series uses all available levers to capture our attention. The slow start allows a smooth immersion into a world where the struggle for power over Arrakis begins.
"Fallout"
The main (but not direct) video game adaptation of 2024 about the post-apocalypse after a nuclear explosion. We explore the world alongside a knight in armor made from future patterns, an idealistic girl who has lived her entire life in a bunker, and a creature that once had a human form. In this new world, anyone can be a victim or a pursuer. It all depends on whose side you are on and what interests you defend.
One could say it is a more colorful and vibrant story similar to "Silo", where the mystery is not that the world survived a nuclear explosion, but how to survive in this beautiful, wondrous, devastated space. "Fallout" — is an alternative history of human development with madmen, lake monsters, and ghouls, told in the format of a black comedy and action sci-fi.
"Dark Matter"
Schrödinger's paradox states that a cat in a box can be either alive or dead. It all depends on the observer, who either looks into the box or not. "" explores this paradox through the life of Chicago physicist Jason Dessen (Joel Edgerton), who finds himself in a world of multiverses. Each alternative world either exists or not — depending on whether Jason opens the door to that world and remains standing in the corridor of the cube (a local analog of a teleport). Each time he encounters a different version of himself and his life, the hero increasingly understands that he is no longer interested in solving Schrödinger's paradox: he wants to return to the first version of his family and wife (Jennifer Connelly) and never open this Pandora's box again. Alas, to do this, he will have to overcome many multiverses and learn to play by their crazy rules.

"Sunny"
The difficulties of an American woman's life in Japan can be told in different ways. For example, in "Lost in Translation" it required bringing together Scarlett Johansson and Bill Murray. And in the series "Sunny", the creators decided to take what seems like the path of least resistance: the heroine loses her husband and son in a plane crash and is forced to rebuild her life in a foreign country, and alone at that. But not everything is so simple: she gets a robot named Sunny, and along with him, conspiracy theories, a robot conspiracy against humans, spy investigations, and corporate secrets enter her life. All of this balances on two genres: comedy and drama. And the most touching part of the series is the friendship between robot and human (reminiscent of the series "Black Mirror").
"Terminator Zero"
An anime about a female soldier who arrives from the future to protect a scientist working on creating artificial intelligence. His development is supposed to save everyone in the confrontation with Skynet, so a killer from the future begins hunting him. "" is a successful reincarnation of the once-launched universe by James Cameron, with plenty of blood and cruelty, new characters, but recognizable ethical dilemmas and references to the first 'Terminators'.

"The Three-Body Problem" — Disappointment Among Sci-Fi Series
The adaptation of the first book ("The Three-Body Problem") from the trilogy of Chinese science fiction writer Liu Cixin's "Remembrance of Earth's Past" turned out not as great as one would have hoped. Despite the involvement of the creators of "Game of Thrones", the gripping story about contact with extraterrestrial beings and saving the planet came out flat and boring. It's hard to say exactly what went wrong: it is rather a combination of elements, resulting in an inability to immerse oneself in the story and feel the atmosphere. They say there will be a continuation of the series. Maybe it will get better later.

This year saw the revival of the beloved animated universe "X-Men '97", which caused unrestrained joy among viewers and a loud scandal at Disney. Yes, it is not a science fiction series. But the level of moral dilemmas and ethical quandaries here is off the charts, as is the depth of metaphors and subtext.
