Streaming service Apple TV+ has released first-look images from the new World War II drama 'Masters of the Air' and announced that the nine-episode miniseries will debut on January 26, 2024.

Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman, producers of 'Band of Brothers' and 'The Pacific', have reunited to tell the true story of an American bomber group during World War II in the series 'Masters of the Air'.

The series premieres on Apple TV+ with two episodes, followed by one new episode every Friday until March 15, 2024.

The cast of 'Masters of the Air' is led by Oscar nominee Austin Butler, Callum Turner, Anthony Boyle, Nate Mann, Rafferty Law, Oscar nominee Barry Keoghan, Josiah Cross, Branden Cook and Shuti Gatwa.

'Masters of the Air' is a tribute to the fighters of the 8th Air Force, who through their courage and brotherhood helped defeat Nazi Germany in World War II

'Masters of the Air', based on the book of the same name by Donald L. Miller and written by John Orloff, tells the story of the 100th Bomb Group (the 'Bloody Hundredth'), who carry out dangerous bombing raids over Nazi Germany, overcoming cold conditions, lack of oxygen, and the challenges of combat at altitudes over 7,000 meters in the air.

The series aims to reflect the psychological and emotional cost paid by the young men who helped destroy the Third Reich. Some of the heroes were shot down and captured, some were wounded or killed. And some were lucky enough to return home. That is what 'Masters of the Air' will tell.
