We were inspired by a reel where a girl talks about how to look at your house/plot in different years.
But you can also look at the city, country, and planet - how it has changed over the past decades
🗺️📍To see the exact location, you need to go to any maps (Google, Yandex), copy the coordinates of the place of interest or your location, and paste them into the search in Google Earth (or just find the desired place yourself)
For example, the earliest photos of our village and surroundings from space were taken in 1985. The difference is enormous! It's interesting to see how things changed around, what happened to our plot, what settlements and roads were around
The service also allows you to look at changes on a more global scale. For example, track the scale of deforestation. This is especially easy to do in Latin America - just incredible speeds at which the green color decreases every year
🧊Also, the melting of glaciers is very noticeable, which is clearly visible in Antarctica, where the area of snow is getting smaller and smaller every year
