Musical term of the week — whistle register.

Whistle register (from English whistle) is the highest register of the human voice, lying above the falsetto. In this mode of laryngeal operation, a fundamentally different muscle organization is used, thanks to which an opening is formed between our vocal folds, the size of which determines the pitch. The sound of this mode is very similar to a whistle, and the notes are incredibly high.
