Nature can change its mood surprisingly quickly. Just a minute ago, the lake was smooth, the forest was quiet, and the air was so calm. Then came the rain. Lightning, one after another, cutting through the sky so beautifully that for a moment you stop thinking about caution.
And I decided to go into the water. It turned out to be surprisingly warm, as if it lived its own life and did not notice at all what was happening above it.
Perhaps it was not the most reasonable decision. But at that very moment, this line was felt especially acutely — between admiration and anxiety.
Perhaps that is why nature is so mesmerizing. Its beauty is always somewhere close to a power that cannot be controlled. And maybe that is what makes it so alive.
