After all the conflicting opinions about Hainan (see photos in the post), I'll still suggest a few options in Yalong Bay, where there are no barriers in the sea and generally a more relaxing beach vacation with crystal clear water.

🌊 In Dadonghai Bay, where we stayed on vacation, the beach is more crowded, and due to currents, swimming is only allowed in strictly designated areas fenced off with buoys (and there are only 3 of them for the entire large bay).
