Construction of new dormitory buildings for FEFU students will begin on Russky Island. The first buildings are promised to be completed in 2027.
The second phase of the campus includes dormitories with a total area of 76 thousand square meters. This is nearly 4 thousand new places for students and graduate students.
Currently, 22,130 people study at FEFU, and 85% of them are from other cities or foreign countries. Over five years, the number of students has grown by 35%: from 16,404 in 2020 to 22,130 in 2025. By 2030, the university expects 25 thousand students. No new academic buildings are planned; classes will be held in existing facilities.
Sergey Dubovitsky, Minister of Professional Education and Employment of Primorye, said that after construction and renovation of existing dormitories, the shortage of places will decrease from 27.8% to 2.6%, and students will be almost fully accommodated.
