We've opened a community about communicating with AI characters: conversational partners,
companions, role-playing scenarios. We, the PROflirt team, run it, but
the platform is shared - discussing other services here is allowed and encouraged.
Let's start with the most common disappointment. A person opens a
chat with a character for the first time, types "hi, tell me about yourself," gets a flat
polite paragraph, and closes the tab thinking "so what's the point." The issue
is almost never the service, but how the conversation is started.
What changes the picture:
1. Write a line, not a command. "Tell me about yourself" is a questionnaire.
"Why are you so quiet today?" is a conversation.
2. Set the scene. Where are you, what time is it, what's happening. The character has
something to latch onto, and the response stops being generic.
3. Don't agree with everything. Object, joke, argue.
A conversational partner who just nods along gets boring by evening.
4. Come back. Memory accumulates between visits, and by the third day
the conversation picks up where it left off, not from scratch.
5. Don't expect telepathy. If you want a different tone, say so directly.
It doesn't break the role; it tunes it.
You can test all this on anything. We build such a service ourselves -
you can see what the characters look like in the AI character catalog.
All heroes there are open right away, no separate "unlocks."
And how did your first conversation start, the one that made you want to
come back? And conversely - what made it all fall apart?
