In the Amur Region, near Primorye, a helicopter with people on board crashed in a forest. On board were employees of the Investigative Committee and the police, who were returning from a field trip on a case, the Russian Investigative Committee reported.

During the search in the wooded area, a Robinson R44 helicopter was found. At the crash site lay the fuselage with traces of fire and the bodies of three deceased.

The prosecutor's office clarified that the helicopter belonged to the deceased pilot. He did not have a pilot's license. The flight was conducted without notifying air navigation, and the helicopter itself was not registered and had no registration marks.

Earlier it was reported that on February 19, 2026, a private Robinson R44 with three people on board took off from a site 130 kilometers from the village of Amaranka in the Romnensky District and was heading to that village. At the appointed time, the helicopter did not make contact.

The law enforcement officers were on duty. The investigative team was returning from the site where the body of a logging company employee, who died during work, was found.
