▶️ An internal Samsung study showed that most users, almost 8 out of 10, regularly use more than two AI assistants. The company is working on improving Galaxy AI for the future of artificial intelligence. By adding support for multiple AI assistants, Samsung will make working with them more convenient.

▶️ The updated Galaxy AI system will integrate AI agents at the operating system level. This will help Samsung stay at the forefront of the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence through seamless integration of new AI agents into the familiar Galaxy ecosystem.

▶️ Since the integration is at the system level, you will be able to manage various agents without having to switch between apps or repeat commands. Additionally, it allows the agent to obtain the context needed for more natural interaction.

▶️ The first new AI agent to join the team is Perplexity. You can invoke it by saying "Hey, Plex" or by assigning a side button (e.g., the power button) for this purpose. It will be available on "upcoming flagship Galaxy devices," and as you already know, the Galaxy S26 series is just around the corner.

▶️ Plex will be integrated into Samsung's proprietary apps, including Gallery, Notes, Calendar, Clock, and Reminders. It will also work with some third-party apps. The Plex agent is smart enough to handle multi-step workflows.

▶️ According to the press release, "additional information about supported devices and features will be announced soon." Assuming that the One UI 8.5 update will add (some or all of) these features to older Galaxy S and Galaxy Z models, then...

▶️ P.S. Earlier this week, Samsung introduced an updated version of Bixby for One UI 8.5. It can now change system settings based on natural language prompts (instead of rigid "turn on XYZ") and search the internet in real time for up-to-date answers to your questions.
