In coaching, there is such a concept as strong questions. But strong does not always mean complex.
More often it is a question asked at the right time and helping to see the situation from a new angle. They typically guide towards deep reflection and often prompt action.
Recently I was recalling whether I had ever asked myself questions whose answers turned everything upside down, forcing me to change my perspective by 180 degrees? Yes. That happened. And more than once. First the question, and then everything as if in a delirium :)) I left a long-term relationship, moved to another district, went to study a new profession. It sounds easy, but each stage was extremely difficult for me, yet it propelled me forward.
The main thing is not to be afraid of the changes that follow honest answers. It is not always easy to admit that what has long been familiar is uncomfortable, cramped, and never really fit in the first place.
Try right now to write down what feels cramped in your current period of life (⏱️15 minutes). Everything that comes to mind: from ill-fitting clothes to toxic communication with colleagues.
1. How does that feel to you?
2. What do you want to do with each item right now?
3. What is stopping you?
4. What could help change this?
❣️Look at your honest answers. How many things make life uncomfortable, but we try not to notice them. This practice helps bring the focus back to yourself, to what you want or have long not wanted. Understanding does not always lead to solving the problem. But it is the most important first step towards it.
