Marketing Fog 😶🌫️
The more I delve into how to promote a business online, the more often I encounter this
In short, it's when you post your offer somewhere, it's absolutely amazing, it should hit the mark, it has tons of advantages... but...
No one sees it. Your clients catch a glimpse of your post and the reaction kicks in: "Oh, another piece of nonsense, someone wants something from me again."
☹️ Because we are all flooded online with some kind of nonsense. Some irrelevant advertising. Businesses turn to amateurs and shoot at flies with a bazooka 🔫, making such broad reach that even by probability theory they can't catch their target audience.
What do I do to dispel this fog?
1️⃣. I stay honest with users. Even in advertising. In times of universal lies, staying honest already means standing out.
2️⃣. I try to do things unusually. Not as is customary, not by template. When possible.
3️⃣. I think about the real benefit for the user, not about all that cellophane packaging, catchy slogans, and other ways to lull and deceive.
☺️ There should be no deception if we are in business. If we build relationships with users and want them to come back.
