😐 What Is This Marketing of Yours? And how to learn marketing?

🧐 I asked myself this question 7 years ago, when I was doing advertising and online events for my first major client.

😁 To be honest, buying traffic and setting up ads is not difficult at all. Any schoolchild can do it. However, when budgets start going down the drain and ad creatives stop working after just 2 days, you start using your head and studying the field more thoroughly.

I have always loved applying a creative approach and adored movies. Friends will confirm that I constantly sprinkle quotes and references to scenes from various films. I have a whole film library in my head from the 2000s to 2020 accumulated.

🧐 So instead of a library and searching for marketing books that are already outdated 20 times and were written about the effective placement of bread on shelves in offline stores, I went online to search for films that would give me real-life examples and convey those feelings and that understanding that I should have in my work.

That's how I found the following films that caught my attention:
1. Generation P.
2. Limitless.
3. The Zero Theorem.
4. 99 Francs.

I believe this is 100 times better than textbooks and 1000 times more interesting if you want to superficially feel the "vibe" of the media sphere, advertising, and marketing.

🙃 At that time, I had spiritual and creative torments quests, and these films helped me find my direction. And then I started approaching this issue more systematically, learned terminology, principles, tricks. I got to Russell Brunson with his auto-funnel system and began studying the prospects of mass promotion.

But, generally speaking, now I understand that the most useful thing is simply the ability to communicate with people, sociability, developing charisma, and the fine art of not giving a damn 😀
