Zine "Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring Again", 2026

This photo project is a reflection on time as something cyclical. I was inspired by the film "Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring Again," which addresses the Eastern perception of life, where the beginning always contains the end, and the end a new beginning.
The project is made in the form of a scroll zine that opens from right to left — as a gesture of respect for Korean culture and as a way to change the habitual direction of gaze. The unfolding movement becomes a slow ritual: the viewer does not flip pages but lives through the path, following the change of seasons. Spring here is birth and naive purity. Summer is fullness, passion, and excess of life. Autumn is loss, awareness, and acceptance. Winter is silence, emptiness, and inner purification. And again — spring, returning not as a repetition but as a different state of the same thing. The photographs do not tell a story directly — they leave space for pause, contemplation, and inner dialogue. As in the film, nature here is not a background but an equal participant, reflecting the inner states of a person and their journey through time. This zine is an attempt to capture not a moment but a process. A reminder that everything passes, everything returns, and everything changes, even if outwardly it seems the same.
