💥 Forecast - laptops will rise in price by 40% already in 2026
Analytical agency TrendForce has published a price forecast for laptops in 2026. According to experts, the AI boom could lead to an increase: the cost of memory and processor may account for more than half the price of an average laptop.
It is likely that in 2026, the global laptop market will be under pressure from low demand while prices rise.
If in the first quarter of 2025 the combined share of DRAM and SSD in the price of a laptop was 15%, then in the same period of 2026 it will approach 30%, and taking into account the processor - up to 45%.
According to the forecast, laptops costing $900 will soon rise in price by an average of 40 percent.
⚡️ The price is driven by more expensive memory and supply chain difficulties: due to the development of AI, manufacturers prefer to order more powerful CPUs, and there is a shortage of components in the budget segment.
The forecast depends on the price of memory and processors in the near future)
