However, coaching is not a magic pill or a one-time "ritual" after which life changes by itself. Coaching work is a partnership where the client remains the author of their decisions and actions, while the coach creates space for exploration, insights, and planning steps forward. For this work to be effective, it is important not just to "discuss something" but to clarify the goal. Otherwise, you won't be able to understand that you've made progress if it wasn't clear from the start where you were heading.
Goal setting in coaching is an exploration: what do you really want, why is it important to you, what will change in your life when it happens, and by what signs will you know you've achieved the result. As long as the goal remains vague ("I want more motivation," "I want change"), movement turns into endless attempts to pull yourself together and a feeling of frustration. When the goal becomes specific, achievable, aligned with your values, with clear criteria and deadlines, it itself begins to support you in action.
Then the focus shifts to the path: what is currently hindering progress toward this goal, what is already helping, and what steps might work best for you. This is exactly the field where topics for several sessions usually emerge: sustainable habits, mindsets, values, strengths and barriers, planning approaches, etc. The coach, together with the client, tracks progress, supports the client's accountability for their steps, and helps integrate new insights into real life.
One session can be a starting point: you better understand your request, see the next steps, and leave with a sense of greater clarity. A series of sessions is a path where you move toward your chosen goal step by step, test hypotheses, adjust course, and gradually build new ways of acting.
In my observation, a noticeable shift usually becomes tangible around the 3rd or 4th session, although internal changes and insights can certainly appear after the first one.
You can ask questions about coaching, share your request, and clarify details during a free introductory session.
