When there are so many news around, both global and more personal, it's very easy to be swept away by their flow. It's great when there are anchors. Support from loved ones, a book with uplifting quotes, or just a quiet place to escape to at the end of the day.

Last week I was knocked off my feet. First, I was anxious about changes at work, then about pretending nothing was happening. And when I'm anxious, I schedule many meetings, talk a lot, run. Apparently, to avoid silence and not think. Although I've long realized that in such a carousel I get tired and overloaded even more.

It used to seem like this was my way to survive. Now I understand it's just an escape. But in fact, what is needed is very close. Silence, sleep, a book, no commitments, no responsibility.

It's great when you can immediately name what restores you. It's great when you can immediately feel the state when you need to resort to what restores you.

Everyone's anchors are different, but they all are about 'hearing yourself'.
Those who also felt anxious and overworked, hang in there!
And give yourself something to lean on.
