🫟 Microsoft changed its mind? Rumors about paid Windows 12 turned out to be fake

A scandal erupted online: insiders reported that Microsoft is preparing Windows 12 (codename Hudson Valley Next), which is supposedly set to become the "operating system of the future" with total AI integration.

According to rumors, the system cannot be launched without a powerful neural processor (NPU) with performance of at least 40 TOPS, which would send millions of old PCs, including many modern laptops, to the scrap heap.
An even more radical news is the possible transition to a subscription: either the entire OS or AI features (Copilot) for a monthly fee.

However, as often happens, the hype was followed by a debunking. Authoritative publications (including PCWorld) stated that the news is fake, based on leaks from 2023 that were rewritten using AI and circulated in a closed loop.

⚠️ Nevertheless, the very fact that the public reacted so strongly speaks to the main point: users are tired of AI being forced upon them and fear that Microsoft will turn Windows into a paid subscription.
