The plot is set in a post-apocalyptic distopia, where the Traveler travels autostop through the extenses of the United States in search of historical artifacts and, as it turns out, deadly zones: desolation?

At the same time, he meets others, moving from age to age, he changes due to changes in the surrounding world.
