Over two months, I recorded more than 10 such sessions. And I used two attempts to pass. And then, having relaxed during the holidays and let go of the situation, I received the long-awaited message that my session demonstrated coaching competencies to the maximum, and I received the level 2 certificate!!!!❤️🔥 And this, by the way, is an advanced coaching training program from the International Coaching Federation, ICF.
What did I realize when I didn't pass the first time and went for a second round?
At first, it seemed extremely unfair to me. I was more confident than ever: for 8 months I connected to every training, mentoring, and practice session, received good feedback from supervisors and experienced coaches. I was in this topic non-stop, but… in the recorded session, I didn't demonstrate all the competencies, unfortunately. Then I got angry - not at them, not at myself, but at the very fact that difficulties arose where I didn't expect them at all.
Motivating myself turned out to be not difficult. 1️⃣ I needed to look back at the path of training I had completed and realize that it couldn't just remain unappreciated and useless. 2️⃣ Look ahead - and there is the work that I really enjoy doing, and I savor every minute. ▶️ It was important to redirect the energy of anger towards overcoming the obstacle, not towards self-sabotage and destruction. And there they were, the strength for another month of repeating the program and recording new sessions.
Thank you to everyone who supported, participated in sessions, read posts, and liked them. Support is one of the important pillars in any endeavor! ❤️
I did it!!!
