The index has powered through the first ten trading days of April so strongly that this month's start is the second strongest since 1950. The market is rising at a pace historically seen very rarely.
What is especially important for bulls: in all 10 cases when April started this strongly, the remainder of the month closed in positive territory. Always. Moreover, the rest of the year was also positive in all cases, with an average return of 16.7% by year-end.
Of course, this is not a guarantee or a pure trading signal. But it is a clear argument that a strong start in April often leads to a continuation of the trend. For bears, statistically speaking, there is little room here.
