SourceCraft Code Assistant is an AI developer assistant that lives right in your IDE, terminal, and SourceCraft chat. It can suggest code based on context, help with debugging, and take over routine tasks from idea to deployment in Yandex Cloud.
What it can do:
1. Smart autocompletion
Analyzes the context of the file and project and offers relevant suggestions: functions, loops, conditions, and entire code snippets.
2. Assistant mode in IDE
Completes code, explains complex sections, helps find errors, generates tests and documentation right in the editor.
3. Agent mode
On a natural language request, it can go through the entire development cycle: create a repository, write code, generate automated tests, check security, prepare a pull request, and launch deployment in Yandex Cloud.
4. Built-in chat
Helps work with tasks, documentation, CI/CD, build and deployment, up to building Telegram bots and publishing static sites.
Where it works:
1. Plugins for VS Code and JetBrains IDEs.
2. Built-in chat in the SourceCraft interface.
3. SourceCraft CLI for working from the terminal (managing projects, repositories, deployment scenarios).
Why developers need it:
1. Less routine: part of repetitive tasks (code generation, tests, documentation, reports) is handled by the assistant.
2. Faster onboarding to new projects: AI helps navigate the codebase and requirements.
3. Unified workflow: chat, autocompletion, agent, and deployment tools live in one SourceCraft + Yandex Cloud ecosystem.
