Today, my office became a wooden pier somewhere between the city and nature. My partner is nearby, tasks await, but there is something important about holding meetings outdoors while the most precious being in the universe sleeps in a stroller.
Wooden log cabins, tiled roofs, a sign saying "Fisherman's Village" — an ironic name for someone who catches not fish but a balance between work and fatherhood. The sun is warm, the air is clean, and there is none of that oppressive atmosphere of concrete office towers.
It's wonderful when the weather allows such walks. But even more wonderful is understanding: you are not tied to a place. You are tied to people. And if they are nearby, even a work meeting in the fresh air becomes not an obligation, but a privilege.
Sometimes it's enough just to change the scenery to see familiar tasks from a new angle. Today I saw them through the foliage of trees and the quiet breathing of Vera.
It was worth getting out into the fields.
