I subscribe to an interesting channel about launching and developing startups. I read it with pleasure because the author writes vividly, tastefully, and often.
And then, in the comments, I come across an accusation that the posts are supposedly written using AI. And an irrefutable piece of evidence is presented — the presence of em dashes.

Okay. There are plenty of crazy and uneducated people on the internet. I laughed. I forgot.
But the further it goes, the more often I hear this take. That, like, if there are em dashes or — heaven forbid! — guillemets («ёлочки»), then it's a 100% marker of AI-written text. Like, ordinary people don't write like that.
No, I understand everything — the era of clip thinking and communicating with emojis — but how did it happen that following typography rules is now a bug, not a feature?
So, to avoid being accused of using neural networks, one must deliberately ignore the rules? What's next — intentionally making mistakes in punctuation and leaving spelling errors?
Well, that's not far from the return of Olbanian language from the 2000s.
