A senior official who was involved in a case of bribery with a Lexus LX600 was poisoned in a pre-trial detention center in Vladivostok.

The investigation believes that from 2021 to 2025, the head of the Department for Subsoil Use in the Far Eastern Federal District systematically passed official information obtained through work to a representative of a commercial organization for selfish motives. According to the investigation, the official also arranged for this company to obtain a license for subsoil use for exploration and extraction of minerals in the Magadan region on favorable terms for the business.

For his assistance, law enforcement believes the official received a Lexus LX600 worth over 17.5 million rubles.

The prosecutor's office is monitoring the investigation of the criminal case, which is being conducted by the investigative department of the FSB in Primorsky Krai. The case was initiated under Part 6 of Article 290 and Part 5 of Article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
