😀 Linux Community Decides What to Do with Code Written by Neural Networks

Linus Torvalds and Linux kernel developers, after months of debate, have reached an agreement regarding code written with the help of large language models.

Now it is explicitly allowed to make changes using AI. But with an important caveat: developers will bear legal responsibility for this code.

Commits made with the help of neural networks can no longer be signed with the legally binding tag "Signed-off-by".

Instead, a new tag "Assisted-by" must be used.

Developer responsibility, not control of their software) 🤩
