💸 A Million Rubles for a Place in IT — The Scheme

According to the Telegram channel Baza, a new market has flourished in Russia: aspiring IT professionals pay mentors up to 1,000,000 rubles for help with employment.

How it works:
— First, you pay 20–70k for materials and preparation
— The mentor "packages" you as an experienced specialist: invents projects, coaches you on answers
— Some go further — they prompt you via an earpiece directly during the interview
— Upon hiring — you give 50% of your salary each month for up to six months

As explained by Oleg Balbekov, CEO of the IT company Evrone, employers are increasingly facing the consequences of such schemes. Once, a mentor went through the interview, but the student started working. In other cases, the mentor and candidate actually work together covertly. Against this backdrop, deception with inflated experience seems the most harmless practice.

What do you think? Where is the fine line between mentoring and deception?
