In Russian, this is called spamming DMs))
Literally everyone uses it. Whoever says they don't is lying. Some have even integrated AI (or created their own product for "AI Telegram outreach"), but I'll hate on that separately in another post. And some call it ABM marketing, where a separate agent finds info about the client and helps write the first message.
This topic is flourishing, in short.
Is there any point in discussing the reasons? Marketing costs incredible money, PR doesn't work for everyone or doesn't exist. The country is in crisis... adapt or die!
Why am I saying this? This post isn't about an "innovative way to find clients." It's about ways to protect yourself from it!
Let's break down the user story a bit:
So a bot that doesn't look like a bot writes to you. Let's say in Telegram. At the top, you have two buttons: "block" or "add to contacts." But actually, there are three buttons! The third one just isn't as obvious!
In short, it turns out you can also archive this very effective bot, turning off notifications, and that's it! It will think you haven't blocked it and continue talking to itself. And you can calmly forget about it.
Because if you block it, the system that "manages" these "agents" will think you didn't fully appreciate their brilliant offer and will send a couple more bots after you. They might only leave you alone after the third time. But if you archive it, the effect appears immediately!
In short, use it, I recommend!
