EXPERIENCE IS NOT ALWAYS AN ADVANTAGE. SOMETIMES IT PREVENTS YOU FROM CREATING STRONG PRODUCTS.
Despite constantly working with new products, it's sometimes useful to become a student again.
Not because you've forgotten everything, but because the brain quickly gets used to familiar tools and starts solving new problems with old methods.
That's why I completed training at Product Lab and now officially am a Product Management Professional.
But the certificate is far from the most valuable thing.
What I really took away from the course:
🔺X10 — instead of asking "how to make the product a little better?", ask: "What will make it 10 times more valuable for the client?". This approach even made me return to my research project in the drilling field and look at it as a product.
🔺AI and prompting — I had actively used ChatGPT before, but I expanded the set of models and became much more systematic in my approach to prompts: role → context → constraints → result format.
🔺Monetization models — it turned out to be especially interesting to try modern approaches on fairly conservative B2B industries.
🔺Product Focus 3.0 — I liked that many tools come together not as a collection of frameworks, but as a clear system for working on a product.
And now the most interesting part begins — integrating all this into the real work of a large manufacturing company.
Because learning a new tool is easy. But taking it through processes, regulations, and the legendary "we've always done it differently" — that's where real Product Management begins.
Thanks to Andrey Badin and the entire Product Lab team for a strong program and the opportunity to look at familiar tasks from a new angle.
I will gradually share the tools I've gained here; earlier I already covered the topic of X10
We continue to understand Product Management and, as usual, not only in IT🚀
