What does the dream job look like for an IT specialist in 2026? Infosystems Jet and Habr Career conducted a large study and compiled a detailed checklist for employers.

1️⃣ Office? No, thanks.
Only 5% of specialists are willing to go to the office on a permanent basis. Meanwhile, in the capital, hybrid work is preferred (49%), while regions vote for full remote (60%).

2️⃣ Without which an offer won't be accepted.
There are things that have long turned from "perks" into mandatory conditions. Top 5 must-have items: Health insurance — a hygiene minimum for 56% of respondents, Flexible start of the day — important for half (50%), Corporate equipment (29%), Paid day off (25%), Training compensation (24%).

3️⃣ What annoys in interviews.
Even a perfect vacancy can be ruined by the hiring process. Main irritants: Lack of feedback. Silence after an interview annoys the vast majority (83%), Endless stages. Nobody likes going through seven circles of interviews (76%), Poor organization. Long pauses between stages and complex test assignments are a sure way to scare off a candidate (57-58%).

Note that there is not a word about salary. The market has turned 180 degrees: there are more candidates than vacancies. With roughly equal incomes, candidates prefer companies with a better social package.
