Colleagues from VK wrote a good article showing the difference between the now fashionable data mesh and the standard approach with a single data team.

In short:
😀A single data team is often a bottleneck in the development process and lacks sufficient domain knowledge
😀Data mesh is primarily about: data as a product, data owned by domains, a data platform, and unified standards
😀Data mesh is suitable for giants; if you're not very large, don't bother

It would be great if VK wrote about how they implemented data mesh, if they did.
