💎 Distributed Management at Yumemi (Japan)

In October 2018, the Japanese IT company Yumemi issued the "Agile Organization Declaration." Years later, this inspired them to implement a number of practices:

🔸 Self-set salary: Employees set their own income level
— The employee writes a career plan and desired amount.
— Receives feedback from at least 3 colleagues.
— Makes the final decision on their own number.

🔸 "Everyone is CEO" system
— The organization is divided into Guilds by specialty (iOS, Android, Design, and even Sales).
— Instead of one manager, there is a Guild Committee of volunteers. They handle hiring and training in their free time from main tasks.
— Inside, there are Teams of up to 7 people. If it becomes 8, the team must split.
— The employee chooses which team to work in and on which projects. If they don't like a project, they can simply move to another team.

🔸 Radical transparency
The company is open not only about financial reports but also about Slack correspondence.
— Any change in the company goes through a "Proposal Review Request" (analogous to a Pull Request).
— The initiator writes an idea → collects feedback → implements it themselves.

At Yumemi, they claim that the above approaches have reduced the administrative management layer from 10% to 2%.
