Agile Manifesto 2.0

There is a beautiful anecdote: in 2001, 17 top managers gathered at a ski resort to solve software development problems. The result was a one-page Agile Manifesto with 4 values and 12 principles. In reality, they continued negotiating for several months after the trip.

In 2025, PMI merged with Agile Alliance, and the temptation arose to rewrite the classic. Thus, the Manifesto for Enterprise Agility was born. The number of pages increased to 11, and the focus shifted from teams to the entire corporate system.

4 values:
🔵 Adaptive plans for a clear goal over excessive planning and the illusion of control.
🔵 Enterprise-wide results over optimizing KPIs of individual departments.
🔵 Constant rethinking over preserving the status quo and structural inertia.
🔵 Human-centricity and empathy over implementing changes only through processes.

9 principles:
🔸 Unity of purpose: a clear "why" helps teams confidently change plans.
🔸 Flexible ecosystem: Agile must extend beyond the company to partners.
🔸 Technology and talents: AI and data are the foundation for decision-making.
🔸 Guardrails instead of gatekeepers: rules are more important than endless approvals.
🔸 Funding intentions: invest in strategy, not in specific activities.
🔸 Design for adaptability: the management model must be flexible, not just efficient.
🔸 Power to value creators: decisions are made where data and customers are.
🔸 Visibility of work: transparency and frequent delivery of value build trust.
🔸 Sensing and learning: need to quickly sense changes and respond.

As if now there are 8 values and 21 principles 😁 What do you think?
